Experience and Skills:
Bachelor degree in accounting or finance field. Additional banking courses through a banking school would be beneficial.
Detailed accounting knowledge such as general ledger and balancing procedures is essential. An overall knowledge of accounting and bank operations is preferred. A general knowledge of overall processes and procedures in a financial institution.
Knowledge of Bank computer operations is helpful.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the finance area of a bank dealing with account reconciliations and other finance related functions preferred
Experience with bank computer operations is helpful.
Must be detail-oriented and have keyboarding and calculator skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel and aptitude to learn new software. Problem-solving skills and the ability to organize tasks and set priorities. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Strong listening skills. Ability to stay abreast of current accounting and audit pronouncements. Strong internal and external support skills and can-do attitude.
Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and various financial-related software is preferred. Experience with Prologue / Cognos / JHA preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements:
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and bend. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to work the days and hours required to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Learning, thinking, concentration, the ability to interact with others, the ability to exercise self-control, and the ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary.
