Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Servicing Associate is responsible for managing a variety of duties necessary for the effective servicing of Government Guaranteed Commercial Loans, with the opportunity to manage critical lender relationships. Responsible for providing quality customer service after loans have closed and funded through payoff. The Loan Servicing Associate will respond to inquiries and/or initiate communication with clients and third parties (e.g. Windsor clients (banks), insurance agents, attorneys, CPA’s etc.), exercising discretion and judgement for the necessary decisions associated with the essential functions below. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES

  • Exhibit a detailed understanding, application and adherence to Loan Servicing policies and procedures.
  • Keep complete, accurate and auditable electronic supporting documentation packages for all functions that you perform.
  • Effectively manage Loan Servicing relationships with banks.
  • Effectively manage Loan Servicing relationships with borrowers.
  • Familiarity and understanding of all SBA Loan Servicing polices (SOP 5057).
  • Become proficient user of the PCFS2000 Loan Manager system (Loan Manager)
  • Enter all borrower loan payments into PCFS Loan Manager.
  • Prepare "Bank Reports/Remittance Reports" and provide (via email) to banks.
  • Prepare "Billing Notices" and provide to borrower (via email or USPS).
  • Review and support of Loan On-Boarding Process.
  • Review borrower financials and insurance documentation for accuracy and compliancy.
  • Review and support of Secondary Market Loan Sales - bids, bid confirmation email, good delivery, settlement email, and SBA secondary market loan review packages

  • Adheres specifically to all Company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Experience and Skills:

Knowledge Requirements:

Minimum Education/

Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of commercial loan products and basic accounting. Knowledge of legal and closing documents, insurance documents, construction documents, appraisal documents, and environmental documents. Extensive knowledge of SBA/USDA, government guaranteed lending.

Preferred Knowledge:

Experience Requirements:

Required Experience:

Minimum of two to three years of experience in a fast-paced work environment with increased responsibilities. Experience working effectively with off-site team members to complete projects. Experience with all forms of closing documentation and closing requirements. Experience with all SBA product offerings.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with USDA product offerings.

Skills Requirements:

Required Skills:

Work software including Microsoft Office, Office 365, Adobe Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be organized and detail oriented. Must be effective in group situations with other staff members. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Preferred Skills:

Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements:

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and bend. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to work the days and hours required to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Must at all times have a professional demeanor and have a strong code of ethics. Must have the ability to remain calm, communicate effectively and remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations and exercise leadership. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal to no supervision. To be able to work independently.
